We would like to invite you to participate if your schedule permits. The only thing you need to do is dress comfortably, wear your walking shoes and a “Big Smile” and we’ve got the rest.

Monroe, LA 71201
Time: 8:00 a.m. – Noon (length of time can vary depending on your availability)

NOVA & Interfaith @ Police Jury

Your presence needed!!

Monday, March15
Ouachita Parish Police Jury
2nd Floor, Courthouse
5:15 - 7:00 p.m.

We had a fantastic turnout and presentation at last week's City Council meeting. Now we need you again--and anyone who couldn't make last week's meeting! Tomorrow we make our case before the Police Jury. Be there!!

NOVA is demonstrating what it takes to move people off of welfare rolls and out of dead-end jobs into jobs that pay a living wage and have a career path and benefits. The economic impact of what NOVA has done in its first year of operation is more than $800,000! The community's return on its investment in NOVA participants is approximately 8 to 1! This program WORKS!

Now we need to get ongoing, stable funding for NOVA. Come to the Police Jury meeting to stand with NOVA and to stand for investing in the economic health of our community. You can't afford not to!

Delta Accountability Session

Sister Bernie reports that the Delta Cluster of Northern & Central Louisiana Interfaith conducted an accountability session in Tallulah with mayoral candidates March 4 at 6 p.m. About 80 people from several different denominations participated, and both black and white people were well represented. The leaders did very well; it was the first time for many of them to participate. NOVA also made a presentation.

Congratulations, Delta Cluster!!
